It doesn't matter if the reader is pro-war, anti-war, or indifferent, Redeployment is a good book.Carmel Roofinghttps://www.kingdomquality.com/_home.phpnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3161136885462262525.post-45950018631958852442015-01-24T10:58:01.791-08:002015-01-24T10:58:01.791-08:00to Unleavened Bread: I really can't say much ...to Unleavened Bread: I really can't say much about MFA programs, although all MFA programs probably focus a great deal on the the short story as a teaching device in workshops. The form is just more manageable to handle in a round table than a novel--also easier to assign--although not necessarily easier to write. Those who think it is easier just don't know the form, it seems to me.Charles E. More time and perspective needed. And I sense the authors who do write them will not be Fobbits. Mr. Klay deserves credit for adding his MFA-crafted book to the collection, but I did not feel any "stake" in his pages. He gets the Marine grunt voice down, again and again and again. Let the war lit debate continue. I also hope in future books Iraqis and Afghans do not continue to be MIA or treated as cardboard characters.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3161136885462262525.post-47028881751850747012015-01-08T13:16:10.400-08:002015-01-08T13:16:10.400-08:00good angle

Your blog has become the short story blog as far as I am concerned and I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer.

In your opinion what are the top five MFA programs for the Short story collection. Do you decide this based on program or do you decide this based on faculty?

If you could give me your opinion or some advice I would really appreciate it and I will continue to read and comment on your blog because it really is extremely informative and well done.
